Year 1’s Invent New Jungle Animals

Year 1’s Invent New Jungle Animals

To conclude this term’s topic of Sabah Animals and Humans, Year 1R have been busy designing new animals that have yet to be discovered in the Borneo jungles. New breeds of snakes were a popular new creation – Sam made a snake with huge ears, so it can hear any predators coming and it also had big teeth to eat elephants.  Rain created a camouflaged flat snake that liked to eat her friend Aaron! And Pik Ern’s snake had hundreds of legs to help it roll over should it need to escape from animals that wanted to eat it! Other creations included a river dolphin by Ayman, which could eat flying snakes and an apple-eating Sun Bear from Su Lim. This fun session gave the students an opportunity to combine both their imagination and their fine motor skills, with some wonderful results.
