U13 FOBISIA Games Reach a Successful End

Miss Hale reports from the airport as the U13 FOBISIA squad return from their three days of sporting competition:

After a sports filled, fun and tiring few days, the U13 FOBISIA Games team are now at the airport and heading home proudly clutching the trophies from their achievements!

Saturday saw the boys’ Football and girls’ Basketball tournaments and on Sunday the games concluded with girls’ Football and boys’ Basketball. All students took part in every game and represented KIS with excellent effort and determination. Unfortunately we did not get a medal position for the boys’ competitions or the girls’ Basketball but I was impressed by the skill and progress that the teams made throughout the events.

A special mention must go to the girls for their performance in the Football tournament. With only 7 girls playing 6-a-side games, they were understandably exhausted but they dug deep and played hard to the end; finishing in joint second place after drawing on points with Garden International School. We couldn’t have been prouder of them and there were many tears of joy and exhaustion at the end.

Last night we enjoyed the Awards Dinner and the disco where the girls collected their trophy for Football and the boys’ were delighted to collect a second place trophy in Swimming and third place in Athletics.

We have had a fantastic time with so many personal and team achievements and we look forward to coming back to school to share our success.
