The First Inter House Drama Competition

The First Inter House Drama Competition

Recentlyย students from Foundation 2 to Year 9, and a huge number of parents, came together to enjoy the very first KIS Inter House Drama Competition. Organised by Ms Laura Cole, groups of students from Y1 to Y6 represented their Houses with performances that included poetry, theatre and a most beautiful KS1 three-part rendition of We’re Going On A Bear Hunt.

The exuberance among performers and audience alike was palpable and the heartfelt support for individual performances by the audience of over 500 was a great reflection of the KIS community spirit. The audienceย also enjoyed a guest appearance from the Primary Drama Club of ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’.

The competition was judged by Mrs Emma John (KS1), Mr Alex Paul (KS2) and Mrs Frances Colbeck (KS3). The judges had an unenviable task, given the wonderful performances presented over the afternoon but the winners of the very first House Drama Cup were Sulug.

Photos of the performances can be seen on Flickr. ย Students, staff and parents alike are now all looking forward to theย sequel – Inter House Drama – the Secondary Competition!
