Students Compete at SAG Swimming Championship

Friday 29th January saw the start of the 3 day SAG Swimming Championships at Likas Aquatic Centre, a highlight of the swim calendar for athletes in the state. During the championships swimmers compete to qualify for the National Championships and display the skills that they have worked on in their training leading up to the competition. KIS was represented by 12 Primary and 2 Secondary students, who competed for their respective swimming clubs (Sea Dragons, PREPS and Blue Marlin). The results were phenomenal in this tough competition, with the students winning 6 golds, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals. Most students broke their own previous records, or set a new record as their benchmark for future competitions. KIS would like to congratulate all our students who participated in the SAG Championships. Well done everyone!
