KIS BOOK WEEK Proves To Be A Literary Success

KIS students, staff and parents recently enjoyed a wide range of activities and events that emphasised the importance and enjoyment of literature during the school’s annual Book Week. Highlights of the week included guest story-tellers and a wonderful mixture of costumes and guises worn during the colourful Book Week Character Parade. The school library was also temporarily transformed into a ‘Book Cafe’ which proved a popular treat for visiting students and adults. An evening of bedtime stories for many of the Primary students completed a week to remember.Stuart McLay, the Principal of Kinabalu International School, commented “Our annual Book Week helps to compliment the work we do in the classroom on a day-to-day basis, inspiring a genuine love of literature and stories – something which we hope will stay with our students throughout their lives.”
