A Level Graduation
Kinabalu International School’s A Level students celebrated the end of their studies with a Graduation Ceremony at the Theatre at Sutera Harbour Marina on June 12th.
The evening celebrated the many achievements of the graduating class of 2017, through musical performances, speeches, poems and the presentation of graduation certificates. The guest speaker for the evening, Dr. Benoit Goossens, Director of The Danau Girang Field Centre, addressed the attending students, parents and staff with an inspiring speech which encouraged students to follow their dreams and not to be afraid of obstacles that may present themselves along the way. On behalf of the graduating students Kirk Bayabos and Dylan Dumpangol, the Head Prefects, delivered their speech in the form of an original poem which recounted their time as a group at KIS. They also thanked their parents, teachers and classmates for supporting them through their education.
The graduating students have already received offers to top universities around the world and now await their final A Level results in August. KIS is now in its fifth year of delivering the world’s most widely recognised pre-university course and its results have been consistently above the UK average.
